Howth Ireland

Ireland is a Gorgeous place to Explore

Posted on March 17, 2014

The Irish seascapes are breathtaking, the food is fresh and the scene is lively with music just around every corner.

We spent time in Dublin, Dalkey, and Howth.

We feasted on tiers of lobster, crab, and fish in Howth, a small fishing village outside of Dublin.

The towns along the coast outside of Dublin are perfect for exploring.

We spent lots of time in Dalkey which is an adorable village and home to both Bono and Enya.  We really enjoyed eating at The Queens Bar and Restaurant.

There’s lots to do in Dublin that include a tour of Guinness, A trip to The University of Trinity where the Book of Kells is on display.

We managed to do most of it, but there is still so much to see. Have you ever visited Ireland before? If so, where are your favorite places?

    Carrie,

My husband and I honeymooned in Ireland 28 years ago. As an aside, we are still happily married. We rented a car and took off! We were all over (except for northern Ireland). LOVED it! We wanted to share the experience with our 2 sons, so we took them about 7 years ago. We too toured Trinity College. It was a DREAM! Thanks for the lovely photos that took me right back to my roots.

    Sincerely,
    Michele C.

Hi Michele, how neat! We had so much fun in Ireland and food was amazing. The restaurants and gastropubs some of the best. It was fun seeing groups of ladies in pubs having tea.
